I found ICF Coach Mentors by doing a search for a group mentor coaching program on Google to quickly satisfy the mentor coaching hours that could give me the 7 hours needed for ICF ACC recertification in a tight timeframe. Based on the experience of a coaching colleague who recently recertified – she also used Google to find the 7 hours – I had very low expectations for this engagement. I just wanted to meet the requirement at an affordable cost. Then I met Eliza and Emily. After spending time individually with each of them, I realized I was embarking on an experience that would be very valuable for me and my coaching career.

 

I spent time with both Eliza and Emily separately reviewing two recorded coaching sessions of mine together. They had not seen the recordings prior to us watching them together. We paused the recording multiple times to discuss what was going on in the session at the moment. What was the client saying with what they had just revealed? What was I thinking in the moment?  What could I have asked instead of what I did ask? This was incredibly helpful to me.

 

I also spent time with each of them individually coaching me as mentors. This experience was especially helpful to me. They are both PCC coaches, highly experienced, and very relatable. They helped me gain helpful insights about myself, my coaching style, and many personal insights as well. After I satisfied the 7 hours, I entered into a separate coaching agreement with one of them to continue being coached in a longer term engagement.

 

I am a former senior physician executive who does primarily internal leadership coaching at a large national healthcare system where I spent the bulk of my career. I have been coaching for nearly four years. My relationship and engagement with Eliza and Emily has definitely been a highlight in my coaching experience. I can confidently recommend them as mentor coaches and as personal leadership coaches.
